Congratulations to Judy and Gary who were married on July 17, 2011 at the beautiful St. Ilija Church in Mississauga, Ontario!
I was honoured to be asked by Mary Clarke of Lemon Fresh Designs to assist photographing Judy and Gary’s wedding on what was quite possibly the hottest day of 2011! Mary is an incredibly talented portrait and wedding photographer and she always snags the most fabulous clients!
Gary’s family and friends got ready at the family home. It was a busy time with everyone running around, getting dressed, but most of all, being truly happy for Gary and Judy. The family is incredibly warm and close and I couldn’t help but feel like I invited to be part of it all. It was quite moving.
Once we got to the church, the flury of activity continued in anticipation of the bride’s arrival!
After the ceremony, we all packed ourselves into cars, blasted the a/c, and headed off to what turned out to be a fabulous and fun reception at the Steamwhistle Brewery in Toronto, Ontario!
After the bride and groom entered the reception, we were blessed with some Macedonian traditions such as a pig dance and a bread dance!
After the incredibly warm and moving speeches and toasts to the bride and groom, we were all treated to cupcakes! Judy and Gary were engaged at Magic Kingdom at Disney so it was only fitting to have Mickey and Minnie on the cake!
With two live bands, a night of dancing and celebrations went well into the evening hours!
Congratulations to Judy and Gary! It was a beautiful wedding with so much love, laughter, and warmth. It really was a true celebration and you, your family, and your friends were part of it! All the best!
